Hi everyone, my name is Dagan. I’m a realtor at Ellens’s Realty, one of today’s leading companies in the real estate industry. Today we’re gonna talk a little bit about myself, and then we’ll move forward to Q&A.
Where are you from?
I’m from a small town in Missouri. My wife and I actually met in college and then moved to Florida for two years where I was working for Disney in the hospitality industry and we just relocated to Guam about 2 years ago where I have been doin real estate ever since.
Why did you choose to get into Real Estate?
I didn’t choose to enter the real estate industry per se, probably opportunity puts it into itself and I kinda struggle on it eversince. Because I learned through time that there’s so much opportunity both for business and for personal growth.
How rewarding is this industry?
The real estate industry is very very rewarding.
It’s taught how to be more knowledgeable in the industry.
It helps me make connections with people I would never have thought.
It’s slowly building my wealth so that one day I can take all of those things and invest in real estate for myself.
And as time goes by and 20 years from now, hopefully I can be the one to guide the next generation in the path to investing in the real estate industry.
What tips do you have for anyone interested in real estate?
So there are two tips.
Very important for anyone who’s looking to get into the real estate industry.
Number one, I would say, if you are an agent, if you’re up early in the morning you tend not to get lazy because you don’t have a clock to punch in everyday.
Number two, save your money. Real estate is not cheap and it’s a long term investment. So that means you need to start early so that you can be successful later on.
What quote do you live by?
I would say, this quote actually came a little bit from my dad. Growing up he always taught us: “Do what you love, be the best at it and the money will follow after you.”
