Melany is a Mortgage loan banker turned REALTOR in 2012. Born and raised in Guam, I left for Hawaii and attended college and worked for Army Air Force Exchange In Oahu and then Guam. I decided to go into banking in 1994 and fell in love with the lending division most especially Home Mortgage Loans. The gratitude and accomplishment it offers when you help first time home buyers achieve their dream in home ownership is so rewarding. As a mortgage loan officer, it taught me so many things about real estate, for example, how to read title and appraisal reports, knowledge in construction process, surveys, home inspections and experience working with escrow.
In addition to being a loan officer, I invested into real estate and was selling. A friend of mine encouraged me to do real estate and so I crossed over. Once I did, it was time to select a broker to work with, Ellen Wilkinson of Ellen’s Realty, was instrumental in my decision on Real Estate and learn from a leading top producer. The knowledge and service of assisting a wide range of customers for rentals, Land or Home purchases, working with Sellers and Landlords along with Property Management is so rewarding in providing the best service to all. I speak Chamorro (Guam), Tagalog, and have studied Spanish, am a mother of a teen age son who’s loves baseball. I have been involved with the Soroptomist International in Guam since 2014. Knowledge of the land, culture and people help’s me when selling real estate and our team help along the way. The training I receive from Guam Association of REALTOR’s are equally beneficial.I look forward to working with all that come my way and through Ellen’s Realty.
